APR R1 Diverter valve (1.8T)

The APR R1 diverter valve was designed to be the ultimate solution to the problem of unreliable factory and aftermarket diverter valves and to be the leader in performance. Although most are of good design factory diverter valves are built in a very conscious manner and the materials and overall life and reliability suffer. For the performance enthusiast the diverter valve is an important component whose proper operation is paramount to optimal engine operation.
The R1 is designed for optimal performance. The main body of the valve is investment cast in an aluminum alloy. By utilizing this casting process in lieu of a more conventional machining process APR was able to optimize the internal geometry of the valve to provide the ultimate in flow performance. This geometry cannot be created utilizing conventional machining. As such the APR R1 has much better flow characteristics than other diverter valves. Combined with the low friction diaphragm assembly this equates to a valve that is truly a performance leader.

Mk5 Boost gauge tap

Our boost gauge tap is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum. The design mimics the factory intake manifold and PCV tube, squeezing a spacer between the two. In this spacer, a brass barb allows for a universal boost gauge connection. A carefully designed tab allows the fitting to lock into the stock intake manifold. Precision machining on the female side allows the PCV tube to lock in and seal without leaking. On the male side, two Viton o-rings seal the fitting inside the intake manifold.

Our boost gauge tap fits both FSI and TSI motors. Installation is quick and reversible. No tools are required and our fitting leaves no marks on the intake manifold or PCV tube. Our boost gauge barb fits .170″ ID tubing.

Mk5 PCV Plug and Tap

Built on the same design as our vacuum manifold tap, the PCV Plug & Tap removes the factory PCV hose and adds a single port . This port can feed a larger boost/vacuum accessory – diverter valve, wastegate, or a vacuum manifold. Using a vacuum manifold and this tap, a motor which previously had no available boost/vacuum ports can now have 4!

*This tap is only recommended for those who have disabled or deleted the intake side of the factory PCV system*

Mk5 Shifter cable bushings

Eliminate sloppy shifts forever!

Our CNC machined shifter cable bushings tighten up the movement of your shifter cables, literally connecting your hand to the gears. In a performance situation, the factory rubber bushings flex causing a delay in the engagement in the gears. Our bushings eliminate this delay and provide a precision shift free of slop or hesitation.

Our shifter cable bushings are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and fit precisely within the factory endlink. Each bushing is sleeved with an oil-impregnated bronze bearing. This bearing provides constant lubrication and a lifetime of use without wear.

Specifically machined for a variety of fitments, our shifter cable bushings provide instant results. Installation is a simple task and requires only slight modification to the side/side endlink. If you’re looking to feel your shifts, these bushings are the answer!

Magnetic Drain Plugs from ECS Tuning for your V/W & Audi. ECS MAGNETIC PLUGS have a permanent magnet that is fastened to the plug body. This magnet attracts and holds abrasive ferrous metal particles preventing their circulation through the lubrication or hydraulic system.
These abrasive ferrous metal particles appear in lubricating or hydraulic systems as a result of the following conditions:
The constant flaking effect of normal wear of moving parts. 
Particles not removed by flushing operations after boring or machining. 
Chipping due to sub-surface casting flaws. 
Minute component breakdown caused by stress usage.
Usually a combination of factors accounts for the presence of these particles that cause excessive wear to vital components unless they are removed. By holding these particles ECS MAGNETIC DRAIN PLUGS prevent excessive wear to the system’s components.
These drain plugs are to be torqued down to 22ft. lbs.
