DSG Transmission Performance Software for 2.0L TFSi

The Revo Technik team has been working with our own 2.0L TFSi test cars, for over 18
months, developing and refining Stage1 and Stage2 DSG performance software to
complement our Revo performance engine software, optimising the launch control, shift
and torque limiter functions.
With amazing results; running the DSG transmission performance software allows you to
use the full potential of the engine, giving the control back to the driver. Hold onto the
gear through that sweeping corner without the worry of the transmission shifting up and
throwing out the balance of the car, have no worries about using full throttle and having
the car jump about whilst shifting down for you… get back in full control with Revo DSG
software.
Revo DSG software can be run on a standard car and it complements our full Revo Stage
1 ECU software. The Revo DSG Stage 2 software is aimed at cars with more significant
hardware modifications; exhausts and turbos and delivers an awesome experience when
combined with our Stage3 ECU performance software, with a choice of 3200, 4000 or
4500rpm launch control and enhanced shift maps to suit vehicle set ups.
What have we done?
Launch Control: where applicable, launch control enabled, at 3200rpm in Stage1 DSG
Software (K03 turbo cars) and at either 3200, 4000 or 4500rpm for Stage2 DSG Software
(Upgraded to K04 or GT3071 turbo cars)
Torque Limiters: The torque limit built into the factory software has been increased to
500Nm. NOTE: these limits are not hardware limits, but built in software limits from the
factory. As with all our software, our DSG software operates within the safety tolerances
set by the factory.
Gear Shift Indicator: where applicable the in gear display is turned on.
Flash Counter Reset: the reflash counter is reset to the last count when flashed.
Kickdown in Manual Mode: kickdown has been disabled giving more control over the car
Automatic upshift in Manual Mode: auto upshift has been disabled allowing the driver to
upshift as and when they please. Giving more control to the driver and allowing the full
potential of power to be seen from the car.
Shift maps: The Stage1 DSG software Drive and Sport shift maps are based on the
sportiest available factory specification maps. With our global market, we have access to,
and have been able to test all factory variants and hand pick the sportiest factory maps
upon which to base our shift maps. European GTi maps have slightly increased rpm shift
points for different throttle positions over other factory versions, giving a sportier drive to
cars running other regional software. Revo Stage2 DSG software has more
aggressive/even sportier shift maps to complement the turbo upgrades.

Yes it can, we don’t touch the rev limit in either ‘drive’ or ‘sport’ mode meaning there’s no issue with the engine revlimit being lower than the shift limit. The same goes for stock
engine software.

ITG Maxogen intakes now available!

ITG Maxogen intakes have hit the UK by storm and are now available in SA through VAG Technik. There are 3 kits available, one being for the  Mk5 GTI/A3 2.0TFSI(Ko3), Audi 8P S3 (K04) and the Seat Leon Cupra (K04). The K03 kits retail at R5000 and the K04 kits retail at R5500.

Some info on the Tri Foam filters:

itg were probably the first company to manufacture a truly durable, high performance foam-based production air filter.

Why foam? Because, compared to paper or other filter technologies, reticulated polyester foam achieves optimum performance against three key criteria:

Maximum Air Flow – the ability to allow air to pass through without causing a large drop 
in pressure.

Cleaning Efficiency – the capability to arrest a high proportion of airborne dust while feeding the engine clean air.

Dust Load-up Tolerance – the capability to absorb a large amount of dust without reducing air flow capacity.

With our unique Tri-Foam System, which uses various thicknesses of finer or coarser foams, these factors can be varied for different applications.

Tri-foam gives us the flexibility to produce air filters to exact specifications and, where high flow rates are possible, we can tailor filters to arrest even the slightest dust traces.

Compared to other designs, itg filters offer many additional advantages, including a significant reduction in noise while providing more power for longer.

What’s more, because we use the very latest adhesive technologies to bond the foam layers, itg filter assemblies are totally resistant to water, fumes, oils and fuels – including the exotic brews used in racing.

APR R1 Diverter Valve

The APR R1 diverter valve was designed to be the ultimate solution to the problem of unreliable factory and aftermarket diverter valves and to be the leader in performance. Although most are of good design factory diverter valves are built in a very conscious manner and the materials and overall life and reliability suffer. For the performance enthusiast the diverter valve is an important component whose proper operation is paramount to optimal engine operation.
The R1 is designed for optimal performance. The main body of the valve is investment cast in an aluminum alloy. By utilizing this casting process in lieu of a more conventional machining process APR was able to optimize the internal geometry of the valve to provide the ultimate in flow performance. This geometry cannot be created utilizing conventional machining. As such the APR R1 has much better flow characteristics than other diverter valves. Combined with the low friction diaphragm assembly this equates to a valve that is truly a performance leader.

APR Motorsport Turbo Inlet Hose-Blue – With FREE Clamp Kit

This hose replaces the existing hose and metal turbo intake combination and has a reinforced wall and super smooth internal design to ensure that laminar flow rates are maximized. With the original restrictions removed better flow characteristics are achieved which give noticeable gains in power and torque. 
APR engineers designed a replacement hose of high quality silicone with wire wrapping throughout to ensure no collapse at even the highest boost pressures. We found that simply recreating the hoses in silicone no matter the density of the silicone still allowed a collapse to occur. The wire wrapping ensures that not even the slightest collapse will be experienced providing more air to the turbo via the larger diameter of the hose and smoother transitions unleashing hidden power.

Magnetic Drain Plugs from ECS Tuning for your V/W & Audi. ECS MAGNETIC PLUGS have a permanent magnet that is fastened to the plug body. This magnet attracts and holds abrasive ferrous metal particles preventing their circulation through the lubrication or hydraulic system.
These abrasive ferrous metal particles appear in lubricating or hydraulic systems as a result of the following conditions:
The constant flaking effect of normal wear of moving parts. 
Particles not removed by flushing operations after boring or machining. 
Chipping due to sub-surface casting flaws. 
Minute component breakdown caused by stress usage.
Usually a combination of factors accounts for the presence of these particles that cause excessive wear to vital components unless they are removed. By holding these particles ECS MAGNETIC DRAIN PLUGS prevent excessive wear to the system’s components.
These drain plugs are to be torqued down to 22ft. lbs.
